Choosing a furniture set for your little girl can be difficult. Furniture can be expensive, so you want to make a purchase that she can use for years to come. Below is a guide for how to choose a furniture set that will last your child through her teenage years to ensure she gets the most use out of the furniture as she possibly can.
Ample Sleeping Options
Girls love to have sleepovers when they are young and as they get older. You need to be sure that there are numerous sleeping options available to ensure that guests have places to sleep when they come over for a sleepover. Trundle beds stay under the bed so that they are out of the way when they are not in use. Bunk beds allow you to fit two beds into the room without taking up any more floor space than a single bed would. Both options create dual sleeping options for guests.
Plenty of Storage
At every age, children need to be able to store things in a neat and orderly way. Every child needs a bookshelf for storing their books in a neat and orderly way. Having a desk allows your child to have a place to do homework and have a place to store their schoolwork or school supplies in a neat and orderly way.
Needs a Classic Style
Be sure that the furniture set you choose for your child is not overly juvenile. While your child may like princesses and unicorns right now, in five years those images may not be as appealing and could lead to your daughter hating her furniture because of the images emblazoned on the pieces.
The furniture will be used for many years so investing in pieces that are well made is important. Wood furniture is often a great option because it is often built by hand to be as strong as it can possibly be.
The most important thing to do when choosing furniture for your daughter from places like Chez-Del Home Furnishings & Interior Design is to let her be a part of the process. A child needs to feel as though they have a say in what furniture they will be using for the next few years because it betters the chances of them taking pride in it and actually taking care of it. Inform your child of the issues they need to consider when choosing a set of furniture and then tour the furniture store with them to find the right set to suit their specific style and needs.Share

Having to place children's furniture in a small bedroom presented a problem for me. With two growing kids, I needed a dresser to accommodate both boys, as well as two beds. With two beds, desk and chair, toy chest and floor lamp, the room seemed overly crowded. My solution came with a highly functional bunk bed. Bunk beds take up minimal space. Better yet, my choice was a bunk that included a storage drawer. This compartment is used for storing the boys' small toys and other necessities. I didn't have to have a separate toy chest, so I reduced clutter which was great! When you have multiple children all in one room, you need all the help you can get!
